My love of massage began when as a child I would trade back rubs with my sister. I am fascinated by the human body. It's intricacy awes and inspires me. I believe our bodies have a well of untapped potential. My interest is in exploring all of these possibilities.  The field of massage and bodywork is exciting to me because there are so many different modalities to study and learn. Some of my specialties are Somatic Movement Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy and Myofascial Release. We are so busy in our fast paced world that we lose touch with ourselves. We live too much in our heads until our bodies break down. Massage re-unites us with ourselves; mind, body and spirit. I believe in the power of touch. I hope that somehow as a bodyworker I can have a positive influence on each client’s ability to experience life.

Ever since I was five years old I dreamed of becoming a nurse. At the age of 32 I entered nursing school. I was and still am fascinated by the human body. I thrive on caring for others. Soon I realized my interest changed. I still had a strong desire to promote health and well being, just through a different pathway. It was then that I decided to further my education in massage. I am now a state and nationally certified massage therapist along with being A.C.E. (American Council on Exercise) certified. My love is in working with athletes and injury via modalities such as sports massage, deep tissue, and neuromuscular therapy. I am truly amazed at the power of touch. It is extremely satisfying to see people reach optimum performance and expedite rehabilitation after injury. The body is an astounding gift that many take for granted. As a massage therapist and personal trainer, I hope to have a positive influence on my client’s ability to love their body and nurture it well.

t was a twist of my college plans that I got into the Massage Therapy program at Madison Area Technical College. I wanted to enter a different program there originally, but was unable to get in, so Massage Therapy was my second option. That was a blessing in disguise. Once I started training, everything came so natural to me. I graduated December of 2002. I feel that massage is a type of dance and meditation. I feel as refreshed and revitalized after giving a massage as the client does after receiving. I always hold onto that feeling for the rest of the day and week. I have had many jobs and have never woken up excited or happy going to work. With massage I do. It allows me the feeling of that I have made a difference in someone's life. I am happy that I have been blessed with this life long career!

I was once asked "How long have you been massaging?". My response · "As long as I can remember!". My earliest memories are of massaging my older brothers' backs and my mother's feet. I have always loved the sensation of touching someone to ease their pain, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. It is a great and wondrous gift to be able to share loving, caring, safe touch to people and to teach them about what they experience in their bodies and why. I utilize a variety of modalities in each massage to create a unique experience each time. My background is in Swedish/Deep Tissue with additional education in Neuromuscular Massage, Reflexology, Trigger Point Therapy, Reiki, Lymphatic Massage, Hot Stone Therapy and Pregnancy Massage. I am also a Certified Infant Massage Instructor."There are no great things, only small things with great love." · Mother Theresa
